In keeping with the community spirit
that is still part of our village today, Friends of Ferring
originally agreed that the service would be provided by volunteers and no
formal charges would be made for using the service.
That is still the case today. All our volunteers give of their
time freely although there are still costs to
be met, such as petrol, telephone, insurance etc.
And for this reason any freewill donations passed to the driver
at the end of the journey are appreciated. The driver passes on
these donations to our Treasurer, which help us to meet our unavoidable costs.
Many passengers are unsure what donation to make, so we make
these suggestions for guidance. |
