In keeping with the community spirit that is still part of our village today, Friends of Ferring originally agreed that the service would be provided by volunteers and no formal charges would be made.

This is still the case over 30 years later, and all our volunteers give of their time freely. There are however still unavoidable expenses such as fuel, telephone and insurance, and for this reason any donations passed to the driver at the end of the journey are greatly appreciated. The driver forwards the donations on to our Treasurer, which helps us to meet our costs.
